RIP: CONDOLENCES POUR IN TO FORMER RHYTHM CITY ACTRESS SAMKELO NDLOVU

As the death of Mandela’s granddaughter still grapping the country, Actress Samkelo Ndlovu recently shared an emotional letter she had written to her best friend, media personality Lumko Johnson, on Instagram. However, the news of Lumko’s passing was confirmed by her family, leaving many in shock.

Samkelo expressed her profound sorrow and the difficulty she was experiencing in conveying the depth of her grief. She reminisced about Lumko’s unique qualities, including her goofy laugh and her knack for sharing unusual but informative music facts. Fans have been pouring in their condolonce messages and comfort to her for the loss.

Samkelo also cherished Lumko’s sincere and unwavering concern for her well-being. She lamented the fact that she would no longer hear Lumko’s distinctive way of calling out her full name over the phone.

In a different context, Samkelo Ndlovu has found herself in the spotlight for a financial dispute involving a Bolt taxi driver. Following the cancellation of the TV series “Rhythm City,” which left many actors and actresses without work, Samkelo is accused of defrauding a taxi driver.

According to reports, the taxi driver, named Nkosi, alleged that on June 10th, he drove Samkelo from Sandton to Johannesburg. After reaching the destination, Samkelo pretended to have paid for the fare, but she disappeared after the payment was made. Nkosi described the incident, revealing that he had to remind Samkelo it was a cash-only trip upon arrival.

She claimed to have misunderstood the purpose of the trip, which was supposed to be paid with a card. Samkelo then offered to pay through her mobile banking app and sent a voucher to Nkosi. However, it was later discovered that the voucher was fraudulent.

When Nkosi confronted Samkelo about the fraudulent voucher and demanded his payment of R106, she reportedly obstructed him physically from retrieving the money.

This incident isn’t the first time Samkelo has faced accusations of financial misconduct. In 2021, she was accused of not splitting a payment with DJ Lesedi after a joint performance at an event in Pretoria. Despite being instructed to share the fee, she reportedly failed to do so and kept the money for herself.

Samkelo’s recent involvement in these financial disputes has garnered negative attention and contributed to her reputation for deceptive behavior.
