The online realm can be relentless, especially for those who choose the path of public figures. Babes Wodumo had grown accustomed to online trolling, but this time, the cyberbullying crossed the line. Regrettably, it should be noted that Mamphitsha is no longer with us.
It all began innocently enough when Babes Wodumo penned a heartfelt birthday message for Dj Tira. On a Sunday, the renowned DJ was celebrating another year of life, and greetings from well-wishers poured in from every corner of the country. Among those offering their birthday wishes was the Qgom Queen herself, Babes Wodumo.
She took to Dj Tira’s Facebook wall and wrote, “Happy birthday, Big brother.” Shockingly, this seemingly harmless birthday message triggered a barrage of attacks on Wodumo. Some trolls took offense at her referring to Dj Tira as “big brother,” alleging that the two had a romantic history. One particular individual, Philile Ngubane, expressed disbelief at Wodumo’s use of the term, claiming that it was strange given their alleged past intimacy.
Philile Ngubane was not alone in this belief, as others also insinuated that Dj Tira, not Mamphitsha, was the real father of Babes Wodumo’s child. These allegations deeply disturbed the singer, prompting her to take legal action against her detractors.
She announced this decision on her Facebook page, revealing that her legal team was actively seeking out Philile Ngubane. Her post read, “My legal team has been attempting to reach Philile Ngubane, who is pictured below. This is in relation to her statement below. If you know her, kindly send me her contact information via inbox urgently. Thank you.
