Reality television star Mpumelelo Mseleku is preparing to make a triumphant return to the music scene with the release of his debut single. After graduating from Boston Media House in 2019, the Izingane Zes’thembu celebrity briefly shifted his focus to football, spending nearly two years playing for Moroka Swallows FC’s junior ranks. Now, he’s returning to his first love and is poised to conquer the world of house music.
During his interview on The Venting Podcast May this year, Mpumelelo said: “I love women. I would be lying if I said my father convinced me into being a polygamist. If I was doing it for my father, I would not be able to continue doing it. I am still going to continue. I won’t say how many women I plan to have, but they are more than my father has.”
In a recent interview with TshisaLIVE, Mseleku expressed his passion for music and the importance of being well-prepared in the industry. He stated, “I am back to music because it is what I love and what I studied for. It’s very important to prepare yourself when getting into this space by making music. DJing is more like a talent; if you are a DJ, it doesn’t leave you, it’s always there.”
Mseleku’s upcoming single, titled “Idlozi,” featuring Mrango, aligns with his spiritual journey, as he believes he is “accepting his calling.” He shared, “The name of the song has meaning. It explains how your ancestors will fight for you regardless of what happens.”
As the son of the renowned polygamist Musa Mseleku, Mpumelelo has provided his followers with a glimpse into his life, which includes his relationships with two girlfriends, Vuyokazi Nxiweni and Tirelo, both of whom have recently expanded their family with him.
He emphasized the significance of understanding and growing within the context of ‘isthembu’ (polygamy), noting that it need not be initiated only in later life. His journey into fatherhood has inspired him to change and take on the responsibilities of a family man, recognizing that his children look up to him for guidance and support.
