Generations: The Legacy actress Letoya Makhene almost died at her lesbian lover Lebo’s home

In a harrowing incident involving Generations: The Legacy actress Letoya Makhene, a domestic dispute at the residence of her lover, Lebohang Keswa, took a perilous turn when a firearm was allegedly pointed at Makhene.

The dramatic altercation, which unfolded at Keswa’s mother’s house in Mohlakeng on the Westrand two weeks ago, brought the couple dangerously close to becoming statistics in South Africa’s alarming rise in gender-based violence.

The turmoil has led Keswa to secure a protection order against her cousin at the Randfontein magistrate’s court on August 26. According to Keswa, the firearm incident was a result of a dispute with the cousin over the ownership of their grandmother’s house, recently passed down to Keswa’s mother, who also recently passed away. The grieving Keswa expressed the distress caused by the altercation, disrupting the mourning process and instilling fear for their lives.

Staying at the contested house to properly mourn her mother’s death, Keswa detailed the cousin’s persistent harassment, claiming he seeks to claim the property now that both her grandmother and mother have passed away. The cousin, previously absent from family affairs, has allegedly resurfaced with a sudden interest in the inheritance. Keswa, in response to the cousin’s actions, has taken the step of hiring a 24-hour VIP security group for protection.

When approached for comment, the cousin opted for silence, stating, “My sister, just do the story and leave me alone,” and ignored further inquiries directed at him. The unfolding events shed light on the intersection of personal tragedy, familial disputes, and the escalating issue of gender-based violence in South Africa.
