Slain DJ Sumbody’s friend DJ Vettys is currently in critical condition after being shot following his performance on Monday night. This happened just over a year after his friend DJ Sumbody was also shot and killed.
Details of the Incident
A statement released by DJ Vettys’ management revealed that he is currently receiving medical attention after the unfortunate incident on Monday, 29 January. Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela reported the incident, stating that the DJ is in critical condition and is being treated at an undisclosed hospital.
In the statement, DJ Vetty’s management expressed their gratitude to his fans and supporters and asked for their prayers and continued support as he recovers.
Vettys, a close friend of Oupa John Sefoka (DJ Sumbody), collaborated on popular tracks like Ngwana Daddy and Monate Mpolaye. The untimely death of Sefoka occurred in a hail of bullets in Johannesburg on Sunday, 20 November 2022.
This death caused other celebrities like Cassper Nyovest to beef up security for their protection while they were going to performances and gigs. Many other celebrities agreed with him that the rise in celebrities being shot was a cause for concern.
