Billiat set to lose his house due to non-payment issues

Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns winger Khama Billiat is now facing the risk of losing his house in South Africa due to his non-payment.

The Yadah FC player is facing the risk of losing his multi-million-rand house in Midrand, Johannesburg, reports Nehanda Radio.

It is said the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs star has failed to pay his bond agreement, with an entity called Emerging Markets Home Loans having applied for an eviction order from the Pretoria High Court to have the occupants currently staying in the house vacate the premises.

Five people are alleged to be staying in the property, it’s been put to the court that their stay in the house is unlawful.

Billiat’s house was due to be auctioned next month, with an unnamed sheriff stating that the finance service provider wants to auction the property in an attempt to recoup the R1.7 million loan.

Emerging Markets Home Loans lawyer Jillian Pedro said: “I am the attorney of record in the matter. It’s still an ongoing process, therefore, I cannot say much about it.”

Meanwhile, Billiat returned from suspension on Wednesday to score the equaliser as his side drew 1-1 with FC Platinum.

The Zimbabwean winger now has three goals this season, with his club Yadah 12th on the league table after 13 matches played.
