BOTLHALE BOIKANYO’S AGE REVEALED
Despite being a child star, Botlhale Boikanyo has managed to keep her private life under wraps, leaving many to guess even about her age. However, Mzansi recently connected the dots about her age on her birthday. The star revealed her age in an Instagram post as she celebrated her birthday.
She posted, “JORDAN YEAR. Also, it’s my golden birthday (23 on the 23rd). I am always grateful to God for my life! I am grateful for my loved ones and the love that surrounds me. This birthday shoot is also special because it was booked and conceptualized by my momma.”
“She styled this look (including my Jordans) and did my face. I am so blessed,” she added.
Against her post, fans and fellow celebrities quickly flooded her comments section with heartfelt birthday posts. No doubt Botlhale Boikanyo’s age left many puzzled. She is older than she looks.
The celebrated actress was born on 23 May 2001 in Mahikeng, formerly Mafikeng. 23-year-old Botlhale Boikanyo’s wins exposed her to the industry, and she became a force to reckon with.
CAREER
In 2013, she was awarded the SATMA Best Praise Singer Award and was also awarded for excellence by the University of North West in Mahikeng. That year, she received her highest.
In July 2014, she also received an invitation to perform in Los Angeles on Nelson Mandela Day, where she recited Dr Maya Angelou’s tribute to Madiba, entitled ‘His Day is Done’ in honour of these two world icons.
Two years later, she received an award from Joanne Ramagoshi Madieng’s Women, The Real Architects of Society awards ceremony. However, a year later, she was named South African Traditional Music Awards Brand Ambassador.
She held the ambassadorial post for four years. However, in 2018, the NYDA awarded her first-place title in the Arts and Entertainment section of the SA Youth Awards. In 2020, Botlhale was listed as one of SA’s Top 100 Youth under the Arts and Sports section.
Against her newfound fame, she also starred in several advertisements and drama series, including Scandal. Her substantial social media following and influence have earned her several endorsements and ambassadorial deals.
