A 38-YEAR-OLD man from Limpopo’s Tshidimbini hamlet allegedly murdered his 41-year-old elder brother on Monday morning, May 13.
The heinous crime has left the entire town stunned and disbelieving.

According to reports, the brawl began as a heated quarrel between the two brothers, after which he allegedly harmed their sister (32).
Witnesses describe the scenario as frightening.

“We are shocked because we don’t know them as violent people, and we heard the screaming during the argument,” said a witness to the Daily Sun.

The suspect and his murdered sibling apparently used to attend church together.

Avhakholwi Tshivhase, a member of the local royal family, stated that they are left wondering how such a tight friendship could end in such a horrible manner.

“This is odd because the brothers were usually happy together, and the suspect had no prior history of violence. We are still in shock by the incident because we have never had any complaints from them,” he stated.

Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, the Limpopo police spokesman, stated that the police reacted to the murder and attempted murder complaints.

“When they arrived at the site, they discovered a human head at the gate, and when they went inside, they found the decapitated body of a 41-year-old guy tied with a rope. It was also discovered that a 32-year-old woman and her 10-year-old daughter had already been transferred to the hospital,” Mashaba stated.

According to Mashaba, the suspect was apprehended at the site, and police recovered a hammer, spade, and knife thought to have been used in the murder.

“The police have since opened a case of murder and two counts of attempted murder against the suspect.”
Lieutenant-General Thembi Hadebe, the provincial police commissioner, stated that such senseless, callous, and barbaric violence has no place in our society.

“We strongly condemn it. Hadebe stated that “no one has the right to take anyone’s life, even with the slightest provocation.”
The suspect is scheduled to appear before Thohoyandou Magistrates Court shortly
