Claim: A Facebook user claims that Regina Daniel, a Nigerian actress, just gave birth to a child earlier this month.

Born on Oct. 10th, 2000, Regina Daniels is a Nigerian-born actress and film producer. She started her career as a child actress and is known for her roles in Dumebi in School, Python Girl, and Miracle Child.
In May 2019, the Nollywood thespian married Ned Nwoko, a Delta North lawmaker. They have two children.
A Facebook user, Ezeh Fidelis Murphy, recently posted that Ms Regina has just welcomed a new child. In the post, Mr Murphy congratulated her while attaching a photo collage of her pictures with a pregnancy and a baby to prove his assertion.
The caption on the post reads, “Breaking news: Nollywood actress Regina Daniels welcomes her 3rd child today [being] 8th of July 2024. Congratulations to you, dear.”
Since Jul. 9, 2024, the post has amassed over 8,000 likes and 3,000 comments and has been shared by over 70 Facebook users.
Some application users doubted this, while a handful expressed their heartfelt joy for the young actress.
Josh Loiz, in the comment section, replied, “Pictures of her last baby delivery.”
Another commenter, Ozor Micheal, stated: “Regina was not pregnant when her kids did their birthday nawa oo.”
DUBAWA noticed the controversy the post generated in the comment section and decided to verify its authenticity.
Verification
Using the pictures attached to the post, DUBAWA conducted a Google Reverse Image Search and discovered that the image first surfaced online in June 2020. According to a TVC report, the pictures were all taken when she had her first baby boy with her spouse, Mr Nwoko.
Since then, different platforms have used pictures to report similar developments, as seen here and here.
Having conducted keyword research on the actress’ delivery of a new child and finding no evidence, we scoured Ms Daniels’ verified accounts on Facebook and Instagram. We observed that she had not posted anything close to the claim that day or recently.
Also, we spoke to Friday Omosola, who reports for Premium Times’ entertainment desk, and he mentioned that he had not encountered such a development.
“You can check her handle or that of her husband. We didn’t capture this at all,” said the journalist in an interview with DUBAWA.
Conclusion
Following our findings, the claim that Nollywood superstar Regina Daniels just had a third baby boy is false. No credible media outlet has reported the incident, and pictures attached to the post have been online since 2020.
